حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

أَقْبَلْتُ، وَقَدْ نَاهَزْتُ الْحُلُمَ أَسِيرُ عَلَى أَتَانٍ، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي لِلنَّاسِ بِمِنًى، حَتَّى صِرْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ بَعْضِ الصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ نَزَلْتُ عَنْهَا، فَرَتَعَتْ فَصَفَفْتُ مَعَ النَّاسِ وَرَاءَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ I approached, having nearly reached puberty, riding on a female donkey, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was standing praying with the people at Mina, until I came in front of part of the first row. Then I dismounted, and she grazed, and I lined up with the people behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
