حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الْبَتِّيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ جَدَّهُ أَسْلَمَ وَأَبَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ

أَنَّ جَدَّهُ أَسْلَمَ وَأَبَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ أَنْ تُسْلِمَ، فَجَاءَ بِابْنٍ لَهُ صَغِيرٍ لَمْ يَبْلُغْ قَالَ: فَأَجْلَسَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْأَبَ هَاهُنَا وَالْأُمَّ هَاهُنَا [ثُمَّ خَيَّرَهُ]، وَقَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِهِ، فَذَهَبَ إِلَى أَبِيهِ

✧ His grandfather embraced Islam while his wife refused. He brought a young son who had not reached puberty. He said, 'The Prophet ﷺ seated the father here and the mother here, then gave him the choice, and said, "O Allah, guide him." He went to his father.'
