✧ Indeed, part of jealousy is what Allah loves, and part of it is what Allah hates; and part of pride is what Allah loves, and part of it is what Allah hates. As for the jealousy that Allah loves, it is jealousy in a matter of suspicion. As for the jealousy that Allah hates, it is jealousy without suspicion. As for the pride that Allah loves, it is for a servant to show pride in himself for Allah's sake at the time of fighting, and to show pride in giving charity.

machine translationYaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr narrates it, and there is disagreement about it. Ibn Abī ʿAdī and Ibn ʿUlayyah narrated from Ḥajjāj al-Ṣawwāf, from Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr, from Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm, from Ibn Jābir b. ʿAtīk, from his father. Likewise said Abū al-Mughīrah and al-Firyābī from al-Awzāʿī, from Yaḥyā; and likewise said Abān al-ʿAṭṭār from Yaḥyā. Muḥammad b. Bashīr narrated it from Ḥajjāj al-Ṣawwāf, from Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr, from Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm, from Ibn ʿAtīk, from his father, and he did not say "Ibn Jābir". Likewise said Ḥarb b. Shaddād from Yaḥyā; likewise said Muḥammad b. Yaḥyā al-Dhuhlī from al-Firyābī, from al-Awzāʿī; and likewise said Ibn al-Mubārak from al-Awzāʿī as well, except that Ibn al-Mubārak transmitted it as a mursal report and did not say in it "from his father". The saying of those who said "Ibn Jābir b. ʿAtīk" is closer to the correct view.
