✧ We came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as four hundred men from Muzaynah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave us his command, and some of the people said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we have no food to take as provision.' The Prophet ﷺ said to 'Umar: 'Provide for them.' He said: 'I have nothing but a surplus of dates, and I do not think it will avail them anything.' He said: 'Go and provide for them.' He went with us to an upper room of his, and in it were dates like a dusky young camel. He said: 'Take.' The people took what they needed. I was the last of the people, and I turned around and could not find the place of a single date, though four hundred men had carried from it.
