حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ حَدَّثَهُ، يُقَالُ لَهُ: مُحَيِّصَةُ، كَانَ لَهُ غُلَامٌ حَجَّامٌ، فَزَجَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ كَسْبِهِ، فَقَالَ: أَفَلَا أُطْعِمُهُ أَيْتَامًا لِي ؟ قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: أَفَلَا أَتَصَدَّقُ بِهِ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، فَرَخَّصَ لَهُ أَنْ يَعْلِفَهُ نَاضِحَهُ

Translation

✧ A man from the Ansar named Muhayyisa narrated to him: He had a slave who was a cupper, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited him from his earnings. He said: 'Should I not feed it to orphans of mine?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Should I not give it as charity?' He said: 'No.' Then he permitted him to feed it to his water-carrying camel.
