✧ I came to a man among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ and said to him: “Tell me a hadith you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the Dajjāl, and do not tell me from anyone other than yourself, even if you consider it reliable.” He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “I have warned you of the trial of the Dajjāl. There is no prophet except that he warned his people or his nation about him. He is dark-skinned with curly hair, one-eyed in his left eye. He brings rain but does not cause trees to grow. He is given power over one soul and kills it, then brings it back to life, and he is not given power over anyone else. With him are a garden and a fire, a river of water, and a mountain of bread. His garden is fire and his fire is a garden. He will remain among you for forty mornings, reaching every watering place except four mosques: the Sacred Mosque, the Mosque of Madinah, Mount Ṭūr, and the Aqṣā Mosque. If it becomes unclear to you or you are confused, then Allah [Mighty and Majestic] is not one-eyed.”
