✧ The Prophet of Allah ﷺ stayed in our lower house, and I was in the upper room. Water was spilled in the upper room, so I and Umm Ayyub stood with a velvet cloth of ours, following the water out of fear that the water would reach the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I went down to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ feeling anxious and said, “O Messenger of Allah, it is not proper that we be above you. Move to the upper room.” The Prophet ﷺ ordered his belongings to be moved, and his belongings were few. I said, “O Messenger of Allah, you used to send me food, and I would look, and if I saw the trace of your fingers I would put my hand in it, until this food that you sent me, I looked at it and did not see the trace of your fingers in it.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Yes, it had onions in it, and I disliked eating it because of the angel who comes to me. As for you, eat it.”
