حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْهُمْ قَالَتْ
دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا آكُلُ بِشِمَالِي، وَكُنْتُ امْرَأَةً عَسْرَاءَ، فَضَرَبَ يَدِي فَسَقَطَتِ اللُّقْمَةُ فَقَالَ: لَا تَأْكُلِي بِشِمَالِكِ، وَقَدْ جَعَلَ اللهُ لَكِ يَمِينًا أَوْ قَالَ: وَقَدْ أَطْلَقَ اللهُ يَمِينَكِ قَالَتْ: فَتَحَوَّلَتْ شِمَالِي يَمِينًا فَمَا أَكَلْتُ بِهَا بَعْدُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me while I was eating with my left hand, and I was a left-handed woman. He struck my hand and the morsel fell. He said: 'Do not eat with your left hand, for Allah has made a right hand for you,' or he said: 'Allah has freed your right hand.' She said: So my left hand turned into a right hand, and I never ate with it after that.
