What Has Been Related About The Virtues Of Fasting

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَبَابًا يُدْعَى الرَّيَّانَ يُدْعَى لَهُ الصَّائِمُونَ فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنَ الصَّائِمِينَ دَخَلَهُ وَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ لَمْ يَظْمَأْ أَبَدًا

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. Hishām b. Saʿd
  4. Abū Ḥāzim
  5. Sahl b. Saʿd
  6. al-Nabī ﷺ

The Prophet said: "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyyan, those who fast shall be invited into it, and whoever was among those who fasted, then he will enter it; and whoever enters it, he will never thirst again."
