✧ A man from the Ansar came to the Prophet ﷺ on the day of the conquest, while the Prophet ﷺ was in a gathering near the Maqam. He greeted the Prophet ﷺ and then said: O Prophet of Allah, I vowed that if Allah granted victory to the Prophet and the believers over Makkah, I would pray in Jerusalem. And I have found a man from Syria here among the Quraysh acting as my protector, going and coming with me. The Prophet ﷺ said: Pray here. The man repeated his statement three times, and each time the Prophet ﷺ said: Pray here. Then the fourth time he repeated his statement, and the Prophet ﷺ said: Go and pray there. By the One who sent Muhammad with the truth, if you had prayed here, it would have sufficed for you for every prayer in Jerusalem.
