✧ I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when I heard him say, "Learn Surah Al-Baqarah (the Cow), for taking hold of it brings blessings and leaving it causes regret, and the magicians cannot confront it." He remained silent for a while and then said, "Learn Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Al-Imran (the Family of Imran), for they are the two bright ones which shade their companion on the Day of Resurrection, just like two clouds, or two shades, or two groups of birds, one on the right and one on the left, reciting the Qur'an which will come to its companion on the Day of Resurrection in the shape of a pale-faced man, who will say to him, 'Do you recognize me?' The person will reply, 'I do not recognize you.' The man will further say, 'I am your companion, the Qur'an, which has made you thirsty in the midday heat and kept you awake during the night. Every trader will benefit from his trade, and today you are benefiting from your recitation.' The Qur'an will then be given dominion over its companion and will be adorned with a crown of dignity, while its parents will be clothed in two beautiful garments that these garments will never wear-out. They will say, 'O Lord! How did we earn these garments?' It will be said to them, 'Because your child learned the Qur'an.' Then it will be said to the reader of the Qur'an, 'Read and ascend through the levels of Paradise, and recite as you used to recite in worldly life, for your position and status will be at the last verse you recite.'"
