حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ الْعَطَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ أَنَّهُ جَمَعَ أَصْحَابَهُ فَقَالَ
هَلُمَّ أُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ وَكَانَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَشْعَرِيِّينَ قَالَ فَدَعَا بِجَفْنَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا وَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَأُذُنَيْهِ وَغَسَلَ قَدَمَيْهِ قَالَ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ فَقَرَأَ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَكَبَّرَ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً

✧ "Come, let me perform the prayer of the Prophet of God ﷺ." He said, and he was a man from the Ash'aris. He said, he called for a bowl of water and washed his hands three times, rinsed his mouth, inhaled water into his nose, washed his face three times, and his forearms three times, wiped his head and his ears, and washed his feet. He said, then he prayed Zuhr and recited in it the Opening of the Book and said twenty-two takbirs.
