حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَازِمٍلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِيَّاكُمْ وَمُحَقَّرَاتِ الذُّنُوبِ فَإِنَّمَا مَثَلُ مُحَقَّرَاتِ الذُّنُوبِ كَقَوْمٍ نَزَلُوا فِي بَطْنِ وَادٍ فَجَاءَ ذَا بِعُودٍ وَجَاءَ ذَا بِعُودٍ حَتَّى أَنْضَجُوا خُبْزَتَهُمْ وَإِنَّ مُحَقَّرَاتِ الذُّنُوبِ مَتَى يُؤْخَذْ بِهَا صَاحِبُهَا تُهْلِكْهُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Beware of the sins that are considered insignificant, for the example of the insignificant sins is like a people who camped in the bottom of a valley: one brought a stick and another brought a stick until they cooked their bread. And when the insignificant sins accumulate against their perpetrator, they destroy him.”
