✧ I asked ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit about the anfāl, and he said: Among us, the people of Badr, it was revealed when we disagreed about the nafal, and our manners became bad concerning it. So Allah [Blessed and Exalted] took it out of our hands and assigned it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ divided it among us equally — he said: on an equal footing.
