✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say from the pulpit to the Anṣār: "Indeed, the people are my outer garment, and the Anṣār are my inner garment. If the people were to take a valley and the Anṣār a mountain pass, I would follow the mountain pass of the Anṣār. Were it not for the emigration, I would have been a man of the Anṣār. Whoever is put in charge of the affairs of the Anṣār, let him be good to their doers of good and overlook their wrongdoers. Whoever frightens them has frightened this one between these two," and he pointed to himself ﷺ.
