حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ قَالَ
قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ بِأَرْضِنَا أَعْنَابًا نَعْصِرُهَا، أَفَنَشْرَبُ مِنْهَا؟ قَالَ: لَا، فَرَاجَعْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: لَا، ثُمَّ رَاجَعْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: لَا، فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّا نَسْتَشْفِي بِهَا لِلْمَرِيضِ. قَالَ: إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِشِفَاءٍ، وَلَكِنَّهُ دَاءٌ

✧ I said: O Messenger of God, in our land we have grapes that we press. May we drink from them? He said: No. I repeated it, and he said: No. Then I repeated it again, and he said: No. I said: We use them as a remedy for the sick. He said: It is not a cure, but rather a disease.
