حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ مَوْلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَحْشٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَحْشٍ خَتَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ عَلَى مَعْمَرٍ بِفِنَاءِ الْمَسْجِدِ مُحْتَبِيًا كَاشِفًا عَنْ طَرَفِ فَخِذِهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: خَمِّرْ فَخِذَكَ يَا مَعْمَرُ، فَإِنَّ الْفَخِذَ عَوْرَةٌ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ passed by Ma‘mar in the courtyard of the mosque while he was sitting with his legs drawn up, exposing part of his thigh. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: Cover your thigh, O Ma‘mar, for the thigh is ‘awrah.
