✧ We were sitting in the courtyard of the mosque where the funeral biers are placed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting among us. He raised his sight toward the sky and looked, then lowered his gaze and placed his hand on his forehead, then said: Glory be to Allah, glory be to Allah! What severity has come down! So we remained silent for our day and our night, and we did not see it as good until morning came. Muhammad said: I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: What is the severity that has come down? He said: Regarding debt. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if a man were killed in the path of Allah, then brought back to life, then killed in the path of Allah, then brought back to life, then killed in the path of Allah, then brought back to life, and he had a debt, he would not enter Paradise until his debt is settled.
