✧ If one of you is afflicted with fever—and fever is a piece of the Fire—let him extinguish it with cold water. Let him face a flowing river, facing the current of the water, and say: "In the name of Allah. O Allah, heal Your servant and confirm Your Messenger," after the dawn prayer before sunrise. Then let him immerse himself in it three times, three immersions over three days. If he is not cured in three, then five. If he is not cured in five, then seven. If he is not cured in seven, then nine. For it will hardly exceed nine by Allah's permission, Mighty and Majestic.
