حَدَّثَنَا الْهَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَرَجُ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ
إِنَّ اللهَ بَعَثَنِي رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ، وَهُدًى لِلْعَالَمِينَ، وَأَمَرَنِي رَبِّي [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] بِمَحْقِ الْمَعَازِفِ، وَالْمَزَامِيرِ، وَالْأَوْثَانِ، وَالصُّلُبِ، وَأَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، وَحَلَفَ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِعِزَّتِهِ لَا يَشْرَبُ عَبْدٌ مِنْ عَبِيدِي جَرْعَةً مِنْ خَمْرٍ إِلَّا سَقَيْتُهُ مِنَ الصَّدِيدِ مِثْلَهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَغْفُورًا لَهُ أَوْ مُعَذَّبًا، وَلَا يَسْقِيهَا صَبِيًّا صَغِيرًا ضَعِيفًا مُسْلِمًا إِلَّا سَقَيْتُهُ مِنَ الصَّدِيدِ مِثْلَهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَغْفُورًا لَهُ أَوْ مُعَذَّبًا، وَلَا يَتْرُكُهَا مِنْ مَخَافَتِي إِلَّا سَقَيْتُهُ مِنْ حِيَاضِ الْقُدُسِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَلَا يَحِلُّ بَيْعُهُنَّ، وَلَا شِرَاؤُهُنَّ، وَلَا تَعْلِيمُهُنَّ، وَلَا تِجَارَةٌ فِيهِنَّ، وَثَمَنُهُنَّ حَرَامٌ يَعْنِي: الضَّارِبَاتِ.

✧ Indeed, Allah sent me as a mercy to the worlds and a guidance to the worlds. My Lord [Mighty and Majestic] commanded me to obliterate musical instruments, wind instruments, idols, crosses, and the affairs of the pre-Islamic era. My Lord, Mighty and Majestic, swore by His might: No servant of My servants drinks a gulp of wine except that I will give him to drink a similar amount of pus on the Day of Resurrection, whether he is forgiven or punished. Nor does he give it to a young, weak Muslim child except that I will give him to drink a similar amount of pus on the Day of Resurrection, whether he is forgiven or punished. Nor does he abandon it out of fear of Me except that I will give him to drink from the pools of holiness on the Day of Resurrection. It is not lawful to sell them, buy them, teach them, or trade in them. Their price is forbidden—meaning the female singers.

يرويه عبيد الله بن زحر عن علي بن يزيد عن القاسم عن أبي أمامة واختلف فيه على رقبة فرواه سيف بن هارون البرجمي عن رقبة قال حدثني بعض الدمشقيين عن أبي أمامة ولم يحفظ إسناده ورواه جرير عن رقبة عن عبيد الله بن زحر عن القاسم عن أبي أمامة وعبيد الله بن زحر لم يسمعه من القاسم بينهما علي بن يزيد وهو إسناد ضعيف
machine translationʿUbaydullāh b. Zaḥr narrates it from ʿAlī b. Yazīd, from al-Qāsim, from Abū Umāmah. There is disagreement about it with respect to Raqabah: Sayf b. Hārūn al-Burjumī narrated it from Raqabah, who said: "Some of the Damascenes narrated to me, from Abū Umāmah," and he did not retain its chain of transmission. Jarīr narrated it from Raqabah, from ʿUbaydullāh b. Zaḥr, from al-Qāsim, from Abū Umāmah. But ʿUbaydullāh b. Zaḥr did not hear it from al-Qāsim; between them is ʿAlī b. Yazīd. It is a weak (ḍaʿīf) chain of transmission.
