✧ I entered upon al-Mukhtar, and he threw a cushion for me and said: "Were it not that my brother Jibril has just risen from this spot, I would have thrown it for you." He said: I wanted to strike his neck, but I remembered a hadith that my brother Amr b. al-Hamiq narrated to me. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Any believer who gives a believer safety for his blood and then kills him, I am free from the killer."

Ṣurad. The first is closer to the correct view: Abū ʿUkāshah al-Hamdānī, from Rifāʿah b. Shaddād, from ʿAmr b. al-Ḥamiq, for the ḥadīth of ʿAmr b. al-Ḥamiq is preserved (maḥfūẓ) on this topic.
