حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَخَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ
مَا زَالَ جَدِّي كَافًّا سِلَاحَهُ يَوْمَ الْجَمَلِ حَتَّى قُتِلَ عَمَّارٌ بِصِفِّينَ، فَسَلَّ سَيْفَهُ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ. قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: تَقْتُلُ عَمَّارًا الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ
Translation

✧ My grandfather kept his weapon sheathed on the Day of the Camel until ʿAmmār was killed at Ṣiffīn, then he drew his sword and fought until he was killed. He said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: The transgressing party will kill ʿAmmār.
