✧ Zaid b. Thabit, from the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا فَيَّاضُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّقِّيُّ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بُرْقَانَ عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ قَالَ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ

نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمُخَابَرَةِ. قَالَ: وَقِيلَ لَهُ: مَا الْمُخَابَرَةُ ؟ قَالَ: أَنْ تَأْخُذَ الْأَرْضَ بِنِصْفٍ أَوْ بِثُلُثٍ أَوْ بِرُبُعٍ، أَوْ بِأَشْبَاهِ هَذَا

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited us from mukhābarah. It was said to him: 'What is mukhābarah?' He said: 'Taking land for half, a third, a quarter, or the like of this.'
