✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to Uhud, some people came back with him. The companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were divided into two groups. One group said, "Let us kill them," while the other group said, "No." Ibn Ja'far said, "It is better to spare them." So Allah revealed, "What is the matter with you concerning the hypocrites, when Allah has cast them back [to disbelief] for what they earned? Do you wish to guide those whom Allah has sent astray? And he whom Allah sends astray - never will you find for him a way [of guidance]" (Surah An-Nisa, 88). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is good and it repels evil just as fire repels the impurities of silver."
