✧ ‘A’ishah informed the family of al-Zubayr that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed two rak‘ahs after ‘Asr at her place, so they used to pray them. Qabisah said: Zayd b. Thabit said: “May Allah forgive ‘A’ishah. We know more about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than ‘A’ishah. That was only because some people from the Bedouins came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at noon and sat asking him and seeking his rulings until he prayed Zuhr and did not pray two rak‘ahs. Then he sat giving them rulings until he prayed ‘Asr, then he returned to his house and remembered that he had not prayed anything after Zuhr, so he prayed them after ‘Asr. May Allah forgive ‘A’ishah. We know more about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than ‘A’ishah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade prayer after ‘Asr.”
