✧ When death came to Abu Dharr, she said: I wept. He said: What makes you weep? She said: How should I not weep when you are dying in a desolate land, and I have no means to bury you, and I have no garment that would cover you to shroud you in it. He said: Do not weep, and rejoice, for I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: No two Muslim spouses lose two or three children and remain patient, seeking reward, but that they will never see the Fire. And I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: "A man among you will surely die in a desolate land, witnessed by a band of believers." There is no one of those people but has died in a village or among a group, and I am the one who will die in a desolate land. By God, I have not lied, nor was I lied to.
