✧ Abdul Rahman b. al-Aswad, narrated from Abu bin Kaab

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ

وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ يَغُوثَ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ. فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ. قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ. وَقَالَ فِيهِ: عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، وَخَالَفَ أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ رِوَايَةَ مَنْ رَوَاهُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ؛ لِأَنَّهُ رَوَاهُ عَدَدٌ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، وَقَالُوا فِيهِ: عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ. كذا في طبعة جمعية المكنز الإسلامي، وفي طبعة مؤسسة الرسالة

  1. ʿAbdullāh

✧ And Abu Ma'mar narrated to me: Ibrahim b. Sa'd narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Bakr b. 'Abd al-Rahman, from Marwan b. al-Hakam, from 'Abd al-Rahman b. al-Aswad b. 'Abd Yaghuth, from Ubayy b. Ka'b, from the Prophet ﷺ, and he mentioned the hadith. Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: Thus Abu Ma'mar narrated it to us, from Ibrahim b. Sa'd. And he said in it: from 'Abd al-Rahman b. al-Aswad. And Abu Ma'mar contradicted the narration of those who narrated it from Ibrahim b. Sa'd, because a number narrated it from Ibrahim b. Sa'd and said in it: from 'Abd Allah b. al-Aswad. Thus in the edition of the Islamic Treasures Association, and in the edition of Mu'assasat al-Risalah.
