حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي وَعَمِّي قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ الْوَجِيهِ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ مَعَ جَنَازَةِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الدَّحْدَاحَةِ عَلَى فَرَسٍ أَغَرَّ مُحَجَّلٍ تَحْتَهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ سَرْجٌ مَعَهُ النَّاسُ وَهُمْ حَوْلَهُ قَالَ فَنَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ حَتَّى فُرِغَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَقَعَدَ عَلَى فَرَسِهِ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ يَسِيرُ حَوْلَهُ الرِّجَالُ

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ go out with the funeral of Thabit b. al-Dahdaha on a white-footed horse with a blaze, under him, with no saddle, the people with him and around him. He said: Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dismounted and prayed over him, then sat until the burial was finished, then stood and mounted his horse, then departed with the men walking around him.
