حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ وَيُوسُفُ الصَّفَّارُ مَوْلَى بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ سِيَاهٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُمَارَةَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ
كُنْتُ جَالِسًا فِي مَجْلِسٍ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبِي سَمُرَةَ جَالِسٌ أَمَامِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْفُحْشَ وَالتَّفَحُّشَ لَيْسَا مِنَ الْإِسْلَامِ فِي شَيْءٍ وَإِنَّ خَيْرَ النَّاسِ إِسْلَامًا أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي يَحْيَى عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ

✧ I was sitting in a gathering in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was present, and my father Samura was sitting in front of me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indecency and deliberate vulgarity have nothing to do with Islam, and the best of people in Islam are those with the best character.' Ibn Abi Shayba said in his narration: Zakariyya b. Abi Yahya, from 'Imran b. Riyah.
