حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا وَكَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ قَصْدًا وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا وَيَقْرَأُ آيَاتٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ
Translation

✧ I heard Jabir ibn Samurah saying, "The Prophet ﷺ used to sit between the two sermons on the day of Friday and deliver the sermon while standing. His prayer was brief, and his sermon was brief as well. He would recite verses from the Quran on the pulpit."
