✧ Something came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he gave it to some people and left some people — and Jarir said: he gave to some men and left some men. He said: It reached him about those he had left that they reproached and spoke. He said: So he ascended the minbar, praised and extolled Allah, then said: 'I give to some people and leave some people; I give to some men and leave some men.' 'Affan said: He said: 'this one and that one' — 'and those whom I leave are dearer to me than those whom I give. I give to some people because of the anxiety and impatience in their hearts, and I entrust some people to what Allah has placed in their hearts of contentment and good — among them 'Amr b. Taghlab.' He said: I was sitting facing the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: 'I would not love to have in exchange for the word of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ red camels.'
