حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ حَدَّثَنِي يَعْلَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ قَالَ
غَزَوْنَا مَعَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ كَابُلَ، قَالَ: فَأَصَابَ النَّاسُ غَنِيمَةً فَانْتَهَبُوهَا، فَأَمَرَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي، فَنَادَى فَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنِ انْتَهَبَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا رُدُّوهَا. فَرَدُّوهَا، فَقَسَمَهَا بَيْنَهُمْ بِالسَّوِيَّةِ
Translation

✧ We raided Kabul with ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Samurah. He said: The people obtained spoils and plundered them, so ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Samurah ordered a crier to announce, and he announced and the people gathered. He said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: “Whoever plunders is not one of us. Return it.” So they returned it, and he divided it among them equally.
