✧ I was riding behind him on a donkey, and the donkey stumbled. I said, 'May the devil perish.' The Prophet ﷺ said to me, 'Do not say, "May the devil perish," for when you say, "May the devil perish," the devil swells with pride and says, "I brought him down with my strength." But when you say, "In the name of Allah," he shrinks until he becomes smaller than a fly.'
