حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَبُو إِيَاسٍ أَنْبَأَنَا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مُغَفَّلٍ قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَهُوَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْفَتْحِ. قَالَ: فَقَرَأَ أَبُو إِيَاسٍ، ثُمَّ رَجَّعَ، وَقَالَ: لَوْلَا أَنْ يَجْتَمِعَ النَّاسُ عَلَيَّ لَقَرَأْتُ بِهَذَا اللَّحْنِ
Translation

✧ On the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of God ﷺ was on his she-camel and recited Surat al-Fath. He said: Abu Iyas recited, then he repeated [the recitation in a melodious manner], and said: 'Were it not that people would gather around me, I would recite with this melody.'
