حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكَرَةَ قَالَ
أَكْثَرَ النَّاسُ فِي مُسَيْلِمَةَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقُولَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِيهِ شَيْئًا، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَطِيبًا فَقَالَ: أَمَّا بَعْدُ، فَفِي شَأْنِ هَذَا الرَّجُلِ الَّذِي قَدْ أَكْثَرْتُمْ فِيهِ وَإِنَّهُ كَذَّابٌ مِنْ ثَلَاثِينَ كَذَّابًا، يَخْرُجُونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ، وَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ بَلْدَةٍ إِلَّا يَبْلُغُهَا رُعْبُ الْمَسِيحِ [إِلَّا الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَى كُلِّ نَقْبٍ مِنْ نِقَابِهَا مَلَكَانِ يَذُبَّانِ عَنْهَا رُعْبَ الْمَسِيحِ]

✧ The people spoke much about Musaylimah before the Messenger of God ﷺ said anything about him. Then the Messenger of God ﷺ stood up to deliver a sermon and said: "To proceed: concerning this man about whom you have spoken so much—he is one of thirty liars who will emerge before the Hour. There is no town but that the terror of the Messiah will reach it—except Madinah; upon every one of its mountain passes are two angels warding off from it the terror of the Messiah."
