✧ I said: O Messenger of God, our wives—what may we do with them and what must we avoid? He said: Your field; come to your field however you wish, as long as you do not strike the face, and do not revile, and feed her when you eat, and clothe her when you dress, and do not abandon her except within the house. How could you, when you have already been intimate with one another, except by what has become lawful for them?
