حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرِّشْكِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ أَوْ قِيلَ لَهُ: أَيُعْرَفُ أَهْلُ النَّارِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ؟ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَلِمَ يَعْمَلُ الْعَامِلُونَ ؟ قَالَ: يَعْمَلُ كُلٌّ لِمَا خُلِقَ لَهُ، أَوْ لِمَا يُسِّرَ لَهُ

Translation

✧ He was asked—or it was said to him: 'Are the people of the Fire known from the people of Paradise?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Then why do the workers work?' He said: 'Each works for what he was created for, or for what is made easy for him.'
