✧ Saʿīd b. al-ʿĀṣ invited Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī and Ḥudhayfah b. al-Yamān ؓ and said, 'How did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ utter the takbīr in the ʿĪd al-Fiṭr and al-Aḍḥā?' Abū Mūsā said, 'He would utter four takbīrs, like his takbīr over funerals.' And Ḥudhayfah confirmed him. Abū ʿĀʾishah said, 'I have not forgotten after that his saying: his takbīr over funerals.' And Abū ʿĀʾishah was present with Saʿīd b. al-ʿĀṣ.
