✧ Rejoice and give glad tidings to the people: whoever says 'There is no god but Allah' sincerely will enter Paradise. So they went out giving glad tidings to the people. ʿUmar ؓ met them, so they gave him glad tidings, but he turned them back. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Who turned you back?" They said, "ʿUmar." He said, "Why did you turn them back, O ʿUmar?" He said, "Then the people would rely on that, O Messenger of Allah."
