✧ Abu Musa asked permission to enter upon Umar [ؓ] three times, but he was not granted permission, so he returned. Umar met him and said: What is the matter with you that you returned? He said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: Whoever asks permission three times and is not granted permission, let him return. He said: You must bring evidence for this, or I will do such and such. So he came to the assembly of his people and adjured them by God Almighty. I said: I am with you. So they testified for him about that, and he let him go.
