حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ عَنْ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مُوسَى يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
مَثَلُ الْجَلِيسِ الصَّالِحِ كَمَثَلِ الْعَطَّارِ إِنْ لَا يُحْذِكَ يَعْبَقْ بِكَ مِنْ رِيحِهِ، وَمَثَلُ الْجَلِيسِ السَّوْءِ كَمَثَلِ صَاحِبِ الْكِيرِ.

✧ The example of a righteous companion is like a perfume seller: even if he does not give you any, its fragrance clings to you. And the example of a bad companion is like the blacksmith's bellows.
