حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى رِوَايَةً قَالَ
الْمُؤْمِنُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ كَالْبُنْيَانِ يَشُدُّ بَعْضُهُ بَعْضًا، وَمَثَلُ الْجَلِيسِ الصَّالِحِ مَثَلُ الْعَطَّارِ إِنْ لَمْ يُحْذِكَ مِنْ عِطْرِهِ عَلَقَكَ مِنْ رِيحِهِ، وَمَثَلُ الْجَلِيسِ السَّوْءِ مَثَلُ الْكِيرِ إِنْ لَمْ يُحْرِقْكَ نَالَكَ مِنْ شَرَرِهِ، وَالْخَازِنُ الْأَمِينُ الَّذِي يُؤَدِّي مَا أُمِرَ بِهِ مُؤْتَجِرًا أَحَدُ الْمُتَصَدِّقِينَ

✧ The believer to the believer is like a building, parts of it supporting other parts. The example of a good companion is like a perfume seller: if he does not give you some of his perfume, its scent will cling to you. The example of a bad companion is like a blacksmith's bellows: if it does not burn you, you will be affected by its sparks. The trustworthy treasurer who gives what he is commanded, seeking reward, is one of the two givers of charity.
