حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ
صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى، وَجَوْفُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرُ أَجْوَبُهُ دَعْوَةً قُلْتُ: أَوْجَبُهُ ؟ قَالَ: لَا بَلْ أَجْوَبُهُ يَعْنِي: بِذَلِكَ الْإِجَابَةَ
Translation

✧ The night prayer is two by two. The last part of the night is the most conducive to an answered supplication. I said: The most obligatory? He said: No, rather the most conducive—meaning to answer.
