✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to lead us in prayer, and in the ẓuhr and ʿaṣr prayers he would recite in the first two rakʿahs the Opening of the Book and two sūrahs, and sometimes he would let us hear a verse. He would lengthen the first rakʿah of ẓuhr and shorten the second, and likewise in the morning prayer.
