حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ وَأَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ قَالَ أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ
لَقَدْ كُنَّا نَقْرَأُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَفِضَّةٍ لَابْتَغَى إِلَيْهِمَا آخَرَ وَلَا يَمْلَأُ بَطْنَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ
Translation

✧ We used to recite during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: “If the son of Adam had two valleys of gold and silver, he would seek a third, and nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust, and Allah relents to whoever repents.”
