حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو كَثِيرٍ مَوْلَى اللَّيْثِيِّينَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَحْشٍ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: مَا لِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: الْجَنَّةُ، قَالَ: فَلَمَّا وَلَّى قَالَ: إِلَّا الدَّيْنَ، سَارَّنِي بِهِ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ آنِفًا

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'What will I have, O Messenger of God, if I am killed in the path of God?' He said: 'Paradise.' He said: When he turned away, he said: 'Except for the debt; Gabriel ﷺ whispered it to me just now.'
