✧ I went on the expedition of Tabūk with the Messenger of God ﷺ. I slept one night at al-Akhḍar and walked close to him. He mentioned the meaning of Maʿmar's hadith, except that he said: "So I kept holding my mount back until sleep overcame me part of the night," and he said: "What happened to the black, curly-haired, short group who have livestock at Shaẓiyyat Sharkh?" He thought they were from Banū Ghifār.
