حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَبِي لَيْلَى

أَنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَلَى بَطْنِهِ الْحَسَنُ أَوِ الْحُسَيْنُ - شَكَّ زُهَيْرٌ - قَالَ: فَبَالَ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ بَوْلَهُ عَلَى بَطْنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَسَارِيعَ، قَالَ: فَوَثَبْنَا إِلَيْهِ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: دَعُوا ابْنِي - أَوْ لَا تُفْزِعُوا ابْنِي - قَالَ: ثُمَّ دَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَصَبَّهُ عَلَيْهِ، قَالَ: فَأَخَذَ تَمْرَةً مِنْ تَمْرِ الصَّدَقَةِ، قَالَ: فَأَدْخَلَهَا فِي فِيهِ، قَالَ: فَانْتَزَعَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ فِيهِ

Translation

✧ He was with the Messenger of God ﷺ with al-Hasan or al-Husayn on his belly — Zuhayr was uncertain — and he urinated, so that I saw his urine on the belly of the Messenger of God ﷺ like streaks. He said: So we sprang toward him. He said: He said: “Leave my son” — or “Do not frighten my son.” Then he called for water and poured it over the spot. He said: Then he took a date from the dates of the sadaqah and put it in his mouth. He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ pulled it out of his mouth.
