✧ Aisha narrated to him that Abdullah b. al-Zubayr said concerning a sale or a gift she gave: 'By Allah, Aisha must stop, or I will place restrictions on her.' Aisha ؓ said: 'Did he say this?' They said: 'Yes.' She said: 'It is a vow to Allah upon me that I will never speak a word to Ibn al-Zubayr ever.' Abdullah b. al-Zubayr sought the intercession of al-Miswar b. Makhrama and Abd al-Rahman b. al-Aswad b. Abd Yaghuth, who were from Banu Zuhra. He mentioned the hadith, and al-Miswar and Abd al-Rahman began adjuring Aisha to speak to him and accept from him, saying to her: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade what you know of desertion: it is not lawful for a Muslim to desert his brother for more than three nights.'
