✧ I said: “O Messenger of God, which part of the night is most heard?” He said: “The last depths of the night.” He said: “Then what?” He said: “Then prayer is accepted until the dawn prayer is performed. Then no prayer until the sun is the height of a spear or two spears. Then prayer is accepted until the shadow stands as a spear. Then no prayer until the sun declines. Then prayer is accepted until the sun is the height of a spear or two spears. Then no prayer until the sun sets.” He said: “And when you wash your face, your sins depart from your face; and when you wash your hands, your sins depart from your hands; and when you wash your feet, your sins depart from your feet.”
